We’ve truly lost the plot of what being a “real nigga” actually is. Social media has clouded a lot of people’s judgement on what genuineness and integrity actually look like, as well as how they’re measured.
And in this current state of the world, many everyday folks can relate to Sækyi’s sentiments towards capitalism and the predatory systems of the U.S. that are known for taking advantage.

And what a profound statement this specific line is. There’s this particular… dream that the U.S. is all cookies and cream. That all you have to do is work hard and pull yourself up by the bootstraps and you can have cute Starbucks drinks and drive hellcats and such things. When the reality is that there’s so much sacrifice that goes into this. Time. Money. Health. Loved Ones. The list goes on. So thank you for this reminder Sækyi.
